(1) Barbary Barger is listed as the head of household, in census records, but there is some question as to the possibility that Barbary is the mother, and not the father, of the children listed. Elsewhere, we have seen "Barbary" used as a nickname for Barbara. It is possible that Barbary Barger is, in fact, the widow of a Barger man.
