(A) Mrs. Patty Marshall Taylor of Walls, Mississippi wrote to Susan Donahue on 14 Sep 1999. Her letter contained the following: "My mother is good friends with Lillian Thompson who was Monroe and Mollie Barger's daughter. She was born in 1909. My mother called here a few months ago. She just moved from her home in Lonoke County in the last year or so, when her daughter's husband died." and "Lilian also had a sister named Henrietta. She died in Michigan about three yaers ago, My mother thinks her last name was Shumate." and "The Bargers were wonderful people. Monroe and Mollie were real good friends of my grandparents, even though they were quite a bit older than my grandparents. Monroe coached a baseball team that my father, Cecil Marshall, played on. Monroe drove a truck and took all the players to games in it. My mother was good friends with Henrietta. She said Henrietta was a year younger than my mother. My mother was born in 1913."
