(A) Peter Barger served as a Private in the Revolutionary War, in the 7th Reg. of the Dutchess Co., NY Militia.

(B) According to Alvan Lyell Barger, Peter Barger was known to friends and neighbors as the "Proprietor of the Dutch on the Hudson."

(C) The three youngest sons of this family, John, Henry and Jacob, moved to Shannonville, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada.

(D) Elizabeth Huff was the daughter of Angle Huff, Jr. who was the son of Angle Huff, a remarkable man who is said to have lived to be 130 years old, and who worked actively, carrying sacks of grain in a mill, well past his 100th year.

(E) Peter Barger and Elizabeth purportedly had twelve children. The seven known children are noted above.

(F) This family is descended from the Putnam Valley Barger family of New York.
