(A) Benajah Strong, the father of Currence Strong Barger, was the son of Captain Benajah Strong who fought in the Revolution, and the grandson of Adino Strong whose father was Thomas Strong. Thomas Strong was the son of John Strong who came to America in 1630.

(B) This family is descended from the Putnam Valley Barger family of New York.
