(B) See Family Group Sheet No. 10658 for the family of John Barger and his first wife, Anna Boshardt.

(C) John Barger served in the Rowan County Militia during the Revolutionary War. He was taken captive by Charles, Lord Cornwallis, during the action associated with the Battle of Guilford Courthouse on 15 Mar 1781, and was later paroled.

(D) John Barger and his brother, George Henry Berger/Barger, arrived in Pennsylvania with their parents in 1752.

(E) This family is related to the George Henry Berger/Barger family of Rowan County, NC.
