(A) The Barger Family Cemetery in Lonoke Co., AR, located on private land off Reveley Road (CR604) about eight miles north of Highway 319 and halfway between Highway 167 and Highway 5.

(B) Mr. Tom C. Martinet who inventoried the Barger Cemetery stated that he received a rough hand drawn plan form a grandaughter or gr-grandaughter of Alfred Oscar Barger (b. 3 Apr 1897 and living as of Dec. 1996). He also provided a list of other Bargers buried elsewhere in Lonoke Co., AR, mostly in the "Sixteenth Section Cemetery" which is a litle bit northeast of the Barger Cemetery. Those names include: Alford Oscar Barger, Annie Mae Barger, Bertha E. Barger, Clemmie L. Barger, Dona M. Barger, E. M. & Mollie Barger, Ester May Barger, George m. Barger, an infant boy Barger, J. Darrel Barger, J. H. Barger, James E. Barger, Leslie E. Barger, Lovell F. Barger, Margaret Barger, Mary Margaret Barger, Maude Barger, Milded B. Barger, Mollie Barger, Monroe Barger, Monroe & Mollie Barger, Oscar Barger, Robert R. Barger, Rufus F. Barger, Samuel S. Barger, Shirley A. Barger, Teresa Lynn Barger, Thelma Ruth Barger, Timothy Lynn Barger, Ulah V. Barger, W. Henry Barger, William K. Barger, William K. "Shorty" Barger, William K. and Annie Mae Barger.

(C) The name "Tempie" appears to have been a nickname for "Temperance."

(D) Elijah M. Barger is listed as a Seargent in the roster of the 34th Mississippi Infantry. A Daughters of the Confederacy marker has been placed on his grave.

(E) This family is descended from George Henry Berger of Rowan Co., NC.
