(A) James Arthur Barger married Lena Kreber in Tyndall, South Dakota. They moved to Missouri for a while, but returned to South Dakota and farmed in Bon Homme Co., north of Turner. Then, they bought a farm north of Scotland, South Dakota where they lived for nearly ten years. After that, they moved from time to time and continued to farm. In 1959, they sold out and moved to Tabor, South Dakota to retire.

(B) Agnes Elizabeth Barger was known as Betty. She and her husband, Keith Peterson, who was born 18 Nov 1917 in Vermillion, South Dakota, were married on 27 Feb 1942. They had two children; Colleen Kay Peterson, b. 29 Dec 1942 in Colorado Springs, CO, who married Fred Jobe, and James Harold Peterson, b. 21 sep 1944 in Colorado Springs, who married Linda Krisil on 24 Aug 1968.

(C) Mary Ann Barger married Alvin Vanecek, and they had four children;

1. Jeanette Marie Vanecek, b. 2 mar 1951 in Yankton, South Dakkota, who married Dennis Hisek on 12 Jun 1971.

2. Dianne Marie Vanecek, b. 18 Mar 1954 in Yankton, SD, who married Jim Westbrook.

3. Kenneth Vanecek, b. 12 Nov 1959 in Yankton, SD, who married Patsy Deeds from whom he was later divorced.

4. James Alvin Vanecek, b. 28 Nov 1965 in Yankton, SD, who married Malinda Riled on 27 Apr 1985 and later married Wendy Walker on 17 Apr 1993.

(D) This family is descended from the Peter Berger/Barger family of Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
